The Handy Imp offers handyman services for Savannah, Georgia and neighboring cities. From simple repair to carpentry work, our knowledgeable crew handles a variety of jobs to keep your house in top shape.

1. Introduction
Welcome to The Handy Imp (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our services (“Services”). By engaging our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Services.

2. Services
We provide [insert a clear description of the services you provide — e.g., home repair, handyman, maintenance, installation, etc.] to residential and/or commercial clients in the North Augusta, SC area. The scope, pricing, and timing of Services will be set out in the written estimate or work order provided for each job.

3. Estimates and Work Orders
– Before work begins, we will provide you an estimate or work order outlining the Services, materials, labor, timeline and cost.
– The estimate may be based on the information known at the time; additional costs may arise if the condition of the job site changes, additional work is requested, or unforeseen issues occur.
– Any changes to the scope must be confirmed in writing (email or signed work order) and may incur additional charges.

4. Payment Terms
– Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due upon completion of the Services.
– Accepted payment methods: [list: e.g., cash, check, credit card, electronic transfer].
– If payment is not made when due, a late fee and/or interest may be charged at the rate of [insert rate] per month until paid in full.
– Until full payment is received, we retain the right to place a lien on the property or otherwise restrict access to further Services.

5. Scheduling and Cancellation
– We will schedule Services at a mutually agreed time.
– Client may cancel or reschedule with at least [insert timeframe, e.g., 24 hours, 48 hours] notice without penalty.
– If you cancel or reschedule within [the notice period] or the site is not ready/accessible at the scheduled time, you may be charged a “no-show” or cancellation fee.

6. Client Responsibilities
– The client must ensure safe, clear access to the work area, including removal of personal items, pets, and hazards.
– The client is responsible for obtaining any required permits, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
– The client must notify us of any existing conditions (e.g., asbestos, mold, structural issues) that might affect the job.

7. Warranty & Liability
– We warrant that the Services will be performed in a professional manner and in accordance with industry standards for a period of [insert period, e.g., 30 days, 90 days] from completion.
– This warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by misuse, neglect, vandalism, natural disasters, or additional work performed by others.
– Our liability is limited to the cost of the Services provided. In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.

8. Materials & Ownership
– We will use materials of industry-standard quality unless otherwise specified.
– Any removed or replaced items become our property unless otherwise agreed.
– Ownership of all work performed transfers to the client upon full payment.

9. Insurance & Permits
– We maintain general liability insurance (and, if applicable, workers’ compensation) covering our work.
– The client may request proof of insurance any time.
– Unless specified, permits are the client’s responsibility.

10. Termination & Suspension
– We may suspend or terminate Services if the client fails to comply with these Terms (e.g., fails to pay, fails to provide access, creates unsafe conditions).
– The client may terminate the agreement before completion, but will be responsible for payment of all work completed to the date of termination plus any costs incurred.

11. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
– These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina.
– Any dispute arising from these Terms or Services shall first be attempted to resolve by negotiation in good faith.
– If unresolved, the dispute may be submitted to mediation/arbitration in [insert county, e.g., Aiken County, SC] or the appropriate court of competent jurisdiction.

12. Miscellaneous
– These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and The Handy Imp regarding the Services.
– If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
– No waiver of any breach shall constitute a waiver of any subsequent breach.

“By engaging The Handy Imp and/or accepting our estimate or work order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agreed to the Terms & Conditions set forth above. You also understand that any estimate is based on the current information provided by you and that additional costs may arise from unforeseen conditions or scope changes. You grant The Handy Imp permission to perform the agreed-upon Services, and you represent that you have full authority to request such Services at the property in question. You further acknowledge that The Handy Imp maintains general liability insurance but that you must still secure any necessary site-specific permits or approvals unless otherwise agreed in writing.”
